Yoga Pose of the Week: Child Pose (Balasana)

I call this the "relaxation" pose. Whenever things get too stressful or tiring, the Child Pose comes to the rescue. It's an easy one to follow and a great way to start or end a yoga session.

  1. Stand on your knees and then sit back, making sure the feet are tucked in next to the hips

  2. Bend over, placing the forehead down on the mat

  3. move the arms around the back and join them together at the tailbone

DO: relax the shoulder blades
